Is it worth buying Guild Wars Trilogy and Eye of the North?

I actually have the first guild wars created but not factions or nightfall. I am wondering if I should just get Eye of the North to go with the first guild wars or just buy the trilogy and eye of the north or should i just wait for guild wars 2 to come out?Is it worth buying Guild Wars Trilogy and Eye of the North?
If you like the first Guild Wars ('Prophecies'), then yes, it's definitely worth getting Factions, Nightfall and Eye of the North. You can add them to your existing account, and play through them with the same characters (or create new ones). The campaigns add entirely new story lines, more playable professions (with Factions you get the Assassin and Ritualist, with Nightfall you get the Dervish and Paragon), a lot more skills, more missions, more items (armor, weapons, upgrades etc) and more pvp areas to compete in. So each of them will give you many more hours of gameplay to keep you busy until GW2 is released (which is most likely early 2012).

Also, Eye of the North offers you a 'bridge' in storyline between the original Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 (as well as introducing you to the new races Norn and Asura), and it offers you a Hall of Monuments, where you can unlock item rewards in Guild Wars 2 based on achievements in each of the original campaigns. So the more campaigns you own, the easier it is to unlock all possible item rewards. It *is* possible to unlock all item rewards with just Prophecies and Eye of the North, but that may require a lot of in-game money to buy miniatures and rare weapons from other players.

So yes, I would definitely recommend Eye of the North, but also Nightfall and Factions. You mentioned the Trilogy, and that is indeed a good option to get them both, as it's often cheaper to buy the trilogy than it is to buy them separately.

With regard to Eye of the North... keep your eyes on the in-game store between May 26 and June 2, as the EOTN expansion will receive a significant discount because of the 6th anniversary celebration. Is it worth buying Guild Wars Trilogy and Eye of the North?
I have played and beaten all 4 of the campaigns and to me it is worth the money to buy them all so that you aren't completely oblivious to how it all lead up to GW2.
