Guild Wars Eye of the North?

what are the new 2 races in Eye of the north

or will there be no new two races to choose from

like they had in Factions and NightfallGuild Wars Eye of the North?
The new races are the Norn and the Asura. GW:EN also heavily features the dwarves, charr and humans. None of these are playable races for your character yet. You can until bring existing characters into the new content, however you can get heroes from all these races and the new races will be playable in GW2.Guild Wars Eye of the North?
As to my knowledge, and to what has been released to the press by the creators of Guild Wars, there are not going to be any new classes in Guild Wars: Eye of the North. There are however going to be a butt load of new spells, armor, zones and Heroes to aid you on your quest!

Next the only downloads for guild wars i can find is eye of the north i have factions so any suggestions?

You would be better off going to the store and buying the games on DVD than doing the digital downloads. First of all, the downloads are huge and will take a long time. Secondly, if you ever have to re-install the game, you won't have to do the download again. :)Next the only downloads for guild wars i can find is eye of the north i have factions so any suggestions?
You can purchase any of the games as downloads directly from Arena Net through the Guild Wars store. If you already have Factions, you should show a link to the store right on your sign in screen. You may be able to find Prophecies (the original 'chapter') at some retail stores at discounted prices, though. Any download from a site other than the official one is likely to be a sort of scam and loaded with spy-ware or other malware. Without the access key it doesn't do any good anyway, as there would be no way to legally add it to your account.

What would be the best title for this book?

The first book I wrote (unpublished) was called Ashes, Ashes. The second, which I just finished, is yet without a title.

So far I have been thinking about it as 'Black Rose', but the two other options I have are the following:

North, because traveling north is a massive part of the book

or

Scars, for obvious reasons.

Which is the most eye-catching? North, Black Rose, or Scars? What would be the best title for this book?
Black rose, but I think most people have experienced something that they can relate to a black rose. It is also more of an implied metaphor than the other two.
Can you give me a basic idea of what the story is about? I could talor my answer more efficently if I had a clue what your story was about.

Otherwise, Scars sounds good... Wait, I just came up with this: "Even Roses Leave Scars"What would be the best title for this book?
Personally I like Scars as a book tittle. To me it seems more unique and something I would want to read while black rose reminds me of vampires and north is overused.
North because its simple, yet gives it a chilling and anxious feeling, sor of....adrenaline-y, lol. i would go with North or Northern Lights maybe? What would be the best title for this book?
Black Rose , Or Scars
Scars, without a doubt! Are your books published?

I have a level 12 MO/E and the prophecies campaign. I just bought Eye of the North and I'm really frustrated because I don't know how to acess that gameplay.

Do you have to be Level 20 to play GW:EN ??Guild wars Eye of the North?
Yes, you must be level 20 to access the Eye of the North content. When you reach level 20, one of the NPCs in the town of Lion's Arch (standing near the big fountain in town) will give you a quest that will allow you to enter the EN areas.Guild wars Eye of the North?
Yes. GW:EN has no content for anyone below level 20.

You can't even do the quest to get into the content unless you are level 20. Once you are, in the cities where it is possible to switch continents (Lion's Arch in Prophecies.) You can quest into the GW:EN content.

(I'm assuming a character under 20 with the pre-order bonus can still get the bonus weapons, but I'm not 100% sure about that.)

Eye of the north is an expansion and will take place north

of Tyria in Prophecies. You only need Prophecies to play it.

Only level 20 characters can go there. There are no new

character classes though. There will be hundreds of new

skills and all new armor sets. Hope I helped you out!

    GW: eye of the north?

In GW:EN, is armor from nightfall/factions transferred into Eye of the North?

More specifically, is the "ancient armor" for rangers [nightfall] also available in Eye of the North?

If not, then can I obtain the item by having it traded to me?

    Thanks!GW: eye of the north?
If you have bought nightfall and factions, your characters are preserved. You have all the items and everything that you have had. When you put the code from EN into your account already, you get more character slots and your characters are able to get skills from every campaign that you have.

You can buy the armor, but usually people have the armor specialized for themselves and you are unable to use it. You'd be lucky to find it.

To get the armor, you need to have nightfall and play that campaign until you can buy the armor from where ever it was.

Witch Guild Wars game is better. Eye of the North, Night Fall,or Factions?

i need to know witch one is better so i know witch one to buy..please let me know what you think.Witch Guild Wars game is better. Eye of the North, Night Fall,or Factions?
Honestly, I like Factions over Nightfall, but then again, having all the stand alone games (Prophesies, Factions and Nightfall) plus the expansion (Eye of the North) is the best way to go.

However, to answer your question straight, you have to get either Factions or Nightfall in order to get Eye of the North. EotN is an Expansion and requires one of the other campaigns in order to play.Witch Guild Wars game is better. Eye of the North, Night Fall,or Factions?
Hello. I strongly recommend Guild Wars - Prophecies for new players. That is the original Guild Wars and has the best learning area in pre-searing. 2nd best is Factions, which has Shing Jea Island which is almost as good as pre-searing for learning the game. Nightfall introduces heros, which are permanent companions for your character, but the added complexity of using heros and the extra 'gold costs' of outfitting them is a big burden on a new player trying to learn the game.

Eye of the North is not a stand alone game. You must have one of the other three main chapters in order to use EN, and then you need a character who is at least up to lvl 10 (level 20 is better).

Good luck. It's a great game with wonderful graphics and interesting stories.Witch Guild Wars game is better. Eye of the North, Night Fall,or Factions?
you won't be able to find a good group without all 3, tbh.

I've played it for almost 3 years, and if you don't have all 3, you wouldn't be able to make most of the builds that our guild calls for.

Guild Wars Fraction, Night Fall, or Eye of the North?

ok so i have guild wars but i've been wanting some thing new. but i don't know which is better of the three, so and suggestions pleaseGuild Wars Fraction, Night Fall, or Eye of the North?
Go for Nightfall. Factions has few people and the missions are messed up. Eye of the North requires you to have a level 20 character and I personally recommend you get both Factions and Nightfall before moving on to it.

GW : Eye oF the north?

I have and play Guild wars prophecies and factions and nightfall . i just bought eye of the north.

i installed it and applied my CD key as normal.

but when i go to crate character, there is no Eye of the north image. just prophecies, factions and nightfall. Do you use the same characters from previous campaigns in eye of the north? or is something wrong?GW : Eye oF the north?
    The expansion introduces:

40 new armor sets, including rare, stand-alone pieces

100 new profession-specific skills (10 per profession, none of which are elite)

50 new PvE only skills including 3 elite skills

    10 new heroes

The Hall of Monuments, a place which allows you to obtain unique titles, companions, armor and miniatures in Guild Wars 2 based on your achievements in the original Guild Wars. The Hall of Monuments does not support the transfer of characters or gold.

Actions have more consequences. For example, if you lose NPCs that help you, you can choose to continue without them (and their help) instead of being forced to try again (although you may start over with a clean slate by going back to town). Similarly, if you rescue NPCs, they may join you and help you.

More than the previous campaigns, Eye of the North is full of easter eggs and "hidden" quests, which are not immediately accessable.

    4 new regions

    Charr Homelands

The green homeland of the Charr, north of Ascalon and east to the Far Shiverpeaks.

    Depths of Tyria

An immense interconnected underground complex of natural caves and excavated areas underneath Tyria.

    Far Shiverpeaks

A desolate mountain range to the north of the shiverpeak mountains we know. It is home to the Norn and the Ebon Vanguard.

    Tarnished Coast

An area of high magical energy, and home to the Asura.GW : Eye oF the north?
The simple answer is... yes, you use characters from previous campaigns. Those characters can access EOTN from the 3 major cities... Lion's Arch, Kaineng and Kamaden. There is a quest in each location to access EOTN, you only need to take one. (Must be level 10 at least to access EOTN).

I'm planning on getting Guild Wars: EotN so I could play it with my friends... but where could I buy it cheap? I saw on Amazon that it was only 13.99. Is that good?

13.99 is a good price and Amazon is a reputable store to buy from. Target was selling EotN for 9.99 a few months ago. I don't know if that price is still good or not, but it's probably worth checking if you have a Target nearby.

Don't listen to the guy who is afraid of stuff breaking. He must not order stuff thru the mail very often. im looking for fast money and equipsWhere is a Good place to farm in guild wars, im a Ranger Elementalist level 20 i dont have eye of the north?
One good farming run for any character class is in the The Sulfurous Wastes (Desolation -- Nightfall Campaign), with the A Show of Force and Requiem for a Brain quests active. Farm the Margonites and Undead for a fair chance of decent drops. You can be in "Worm Form" for the entire run using that skill set so no special build is needed. Doing it in Hard Mode improves money %26amp; drops. You also get Lightbringer and Sunspear promotion points if you take the bounties at the shrines. Go to the Remains of Sahlahja and join a farming group to learn the route the first time, but this can be done with Heros and Henchies easily. You can do it with a group of only 5 if you are patient and careful for more drops and a greater share of the gold.

Husband and I move out of state with my step son?

My husband and I hate the state we live in currently. We'd like to move to a warmer climate, and are eyeing North Carolina. My step son is 8, and lives with us full time, visits with his mother for a few hours on weekends.

Legally, they have joint custody with 50/50 visitation, but that's not what we exercise. He resides with us all the time, and she only wants him for a few hours. We get along very well with her so there's really no reason to go to court to change the arrangements because they work out fine. Also, she pays us no child support - not a problem for us.

I guess I just want to know what steps, if any, we would have to take before moving out of state with him? We would be moving about a 15 hour drive away. How would this work, legally?

Also, what if she didn't contest it? Before he and I met he moved out of state with his son (about a 20 hour drive) for work and she didn't contest it at all. He spent a few months with her, and a few months with him - that couldn't happen now though because he's in school, so he'd have to stay the entire school year with us and visit her summers and vacations.

And advice and help would be awesome!

Thanks!Husband and I move out of state with my step son?
It sounds to me like the mother wouldn't care much if you did leave and take your step son. You and your husband obviously care a lot about him, and you sound like a much better mother figure to me then she does. I don't think it would be that terrible if he didn't live that close to his mother and her in jail, abusive, ex! If she did fight it, I would imagine the judge would take all of the details you have mentioned into account. My money would be on you and your husband winning custody. Even if you plan on waiting until he is a bit older, you should slowly introduce the idea now. Get him used to the idea of living in a beautiful place with great weather. Get brochures and show him all the perks to moving there.
I have a hard time with any child being seperated from a parent like this...

I sincerely hope that you guys weigh this out. This is his mother and it is your repsonsibility to help keep this relationship in tact and healthy.

I do not like where I live BUT I have placed my son's best interest first and foremost...

Good luck.Husband and I move out of state with my step son?
You need to consult your attorney about the custody arrangements. Even though she is not exercising them, she is entitled to them. There is often a prohibition in these arrangements against moving more than some certain number of miles away.
Most divorce agreements these days, state you have to give a certain amount of time as notice. Legally they have joint custody, but maybe you guys could discuss this amongst yourselves and if all is in agreement, take it before the judge without the expense of a lawyer.Husband and I move out of state with my step son?
If she doesn't contest it, then I don't see any problem. But really there IS a reason to go to court to change the custody arrangement, because if they ever fall out, she can say she doesn't agree anymore and then you'd be in alot of problem. The should get the custody changed, if she's ok with it, it won't be complicated, and he can also state that he doesn't want CS, just a new custody arrangement. Where you'd have primary physical custody, and she'd have access summer and holidays.
i think you would be O.K. as long as she didn't fight you but I would at least let the courts know your intentions to moving and than if she wants she can have summer visits and holidays some not all because that isn't fair to you guys.
i really don't think it is a good idea. even if she would see him during the summer and vacations, she will become a stranger to him. not a total stranger, but the closeness won't be there.i'm sure your a great stepmom, but you two should really think about this. wait until he is older, then run the idea past him.
Not liking the climate is an inconvenience (like 2 on scale of 1-10), limiting the son's ability to see his mother and hopefully develop a closer relationship is huge (like a 9 on the scale of 1-10)....in terms of his well being. There is a big difference between her not seeing him now and you eliminating the possibility of her participating more forever.

Why don't you get her to move too?

One of the best things about the Guild Wars game client is just how versatile it is. The areas within Guild Wars that you can explore and the amount of information you download is based solely on what games your account has rights to.

You can download and install the game client on any computer at any time and login to the game account that you created with your Retail Access Keys. You do not need these keys each time you re-install. Even though you do not need them each time you login or re-install, you may need them to prove you are the owner of your account at some point in the future. So I highly encourage you to put them in a safe place just in case.

You can download the Guild Wars game client through the official Guild Wars website or through the NCsoft Launcher (see my source links).Guild wars Nightfall and Eye of the North question...............?

Guild Wars Eye of the North?? Need to buy?

I have GW Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall. Today I did a quest that took me to a city in the Shiverpeaks called Eye of the North. I travelled another 2-3 cities further north. I do not remember buying the Eye of the North expansion. Does this mean I somehow have it, or is this something else?Guild Wars Eye of the North?? Need to buy?
If you've traveled to Eye of the North then you own the expansion. You should have picked up some EotN heroes by now as well, Vekk Ogden and Gwen.
Yes, if you can travel to the Eye of the North outpost, that means you already have the Eye of the North expansion. Did you perhaps buy the Guild Wars Complete Collection? That collection includes the three campaigns you mentioned PLUS Eye of the North.

If that's not the one you bought, then you must have somehow bought Eye of the North separately and simply forgot about it...Guild Wars Eye of the North?? Need to buy?
by the way ur worded this im not 100% sure but now days in stores they only sell the game with all exspansions included for 40$ which is a good deal since the game used to be 50$ and then 50$ for each additional exspansion so if thats what u bought then u already have it if you didnt buy that or the individual exspansion ull probably have to buy it online

ps. i reccamend u do the crossover mission threw nightfall its the easiest or proph its 2nd easiest
Yes, these other answers are right. If you can get to the outpost Eye of the North, then you have the Guild Wars Eye of the North Expansion.

However, if you want to know for sure, you can see for yourself what your account has access to through the game client. Log into your Guild Wars account and on the Character selection screen, click on the "Edit Account" button. Put a check in the "Manage Access Keys" box and press "Next" in the lower right. You will then see a list of all Guild Wars releases and added features currently on your account.Guild Wars Eye of the North?? Need to buy?
As far as I can remember you should not be able to go into cities of an expansion that you don't have. So if you were able to go into "eye of the North" You probably have it.

I've played the game since the 4th day prophecies was released...

Led one of the biggest HA Guilds in the game during Nightfall...

    You have EoTN bro.

Do you need any of the old guild of wars to download guild of wars eye of the north?

GuildWars: Eye of the North is a sole Expansion Pack, unlike the previous New Games from Guildwars. You will need to have at least one of the other games from guildwars (GuildWars Prophecies, Factions, or Nightfall) but personally i would recommend playing Guildwars Prophecies (cheapest of teh three) before buying anything else for/from Guildwars to make sure you like the game and then get Eye of the North.

    Happy Gaming!

I need a good elementalist build for Guild Wars: eye of the north?

it has to be a good ele build that works really well against the destroyers and counters their attacks. A friend of mine told me that elementalist/dervish works well, but i need to know what skills i should use in my build.

    please and thank you =D

oh and also if anyone knows any good ele/rit builds plzI need a good elementalist build for Guild Wars: eye of the north?
Elementalist is more of a ranged character, and takes a lot of energy.. :) My elementalist is mixed with Mesmer, and I use both Arcane Echo (mesmer skill) and Echo (elite mesmer skill), so I can spam skills like Firestorm four times in succession. my skills are: Firestorm, Fireball, Tenai's Heat, Meteor Shower, Arcane Echo, Echo, Conjure Phantasm (or whatever I feel I need to counter the mob I am going against) and Fire Attunement. I have 15 points in Fire Magic, and 14 in Energy Storage. I use a couple of different weapons, the first is Exuro's Will (2 handed staff with +60 health) and the second is a fire wand with a fire artifact (+30 health, -1 energy regen, +15 energy) I have not gone against destroyers yet with that build, but so far it works well against Afflicted and almost anything else I encounter. :)

Look up Guildwiki and there is a link on it for another wiki that shows a lot of different builds and how to use them. (I think it is called PvKWiki or something similar). If there are builds for Ele/Derv or Ele/Rit, they will be there.I need a good elementalist build for Guild Wars: eye of the north?
Also consider using Alkar's Alchemical Acid. You can Echo this skill as well and it works great against destroyers. You should also be displaying your Deldrimor Title for additional buffs against destroyers.I need a good elementalist build for Guild Wars: eye of the north?
You gotto know whats weak about destroyers and whats strong about them.

Also, i recommend using 2 sets of armor(headgear) and 2 sets of skills in EotN

Keep inmind that Destroyers are Highly resistant to fire and are less so against water. They also inflinct Burning.

So, when fighting the destroyers, use Water builds especially Frigid Armor. It prevents burning, which is EXTREMELY useful in the last mission.

Also, use Water spells would do about 80% normal damage whereas Firespells would only inflinct 30% normal damage.

But keep in mind that most of the creatures in EotN are either in the cold weather or in jungle(that are not destroyers) so, they are vulnerable to fire.

Use firespells when fighting normal foes.

Does this mean i have Guild Wars: Eye or the North or just normal?Guild wars eye of the north on game of the year??
Since the release of Factions, the title screen has advertised the most recent Guild Wars product, which is Eye of the North at the moment.

This does not mean that you have Eye of the North.Guild wars eye of the north on game of the year??
LOL, that login screen has confused so many people. I wish they would change it.

The login shows Eye of the North for everyone. If you bought Prophecies then that's all that's on your account.

Guild wars: eye of the north too hard?

well i got guild wars eye of the north and im finding it VERY difficult. i have a lvl 20 W/E (warrior\elementalist) and i just cant pass ANY of the quests. anyone have any adivce ie. any easy quests or how to make my character better?Guild wars: eye of the north too hard?
You will find it much easier with a different character. EOTN seems to be very tough on melee characters. I have completed with three and have several others at various points along the way (mainly to pick up specific EOTN skills or Heroes).

I completed with a Warrior, an Assassin (mainly with crit barrage skill set) and Monk. The Warrior was by far the most difficult (though with it being the first, that may be part of it too).

Each area of EOTN needs specific skill selections, including how your Heroe's are set up. If you are in an area with alot of monsters that have melee blocking skills, you need your skill set to counter, either by removing enchantments or prevent blocking (like the Rigor Mortis hex by a Necro).

If the area is full of spell casters, you need skills to daze and interrupt.

Trying to get through it with the same build for you and your Heroe's is extremely tough. It also helps to use the various "buffs" from consumable items to speed up attacks, spell casting, increase hit points, etc.

Have Fun!Guild wars: eye of the north too hard?
Well, not knowing anything about your skill level or knowledge of the game, and not having played in a while and never as a Warrior primary...

If you're trying to deal spell damage or anything like that with a Warrior primary, there's your problem. Also, there's no excuse for not having a max weapon and a set of max armor (80 for a W) and at least a few runes applied to them.

Really, it's just a matter of getting used to the game and realizing the limits and benefits of your class. Try looking for a newbie-friendly guild in the game (shouldn't be hard) and/or looking up some builds on PvXwiki.

Finally, and I offer this as a last resort, try Discordway.

http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:Team_-_D鈥?/a>Guild wars: eye of the north too hard?
Kevin offers some good advice. Really without knowing your builds and your hero's builds it's hard to offer advice.

    Do you have max armor?

Do you have a max weapon that you meet the requirements for?

    Is your armor runed appropiately?

What is your build? If it's mainly Elementalist spells then that's a BIG problem!

Which heroes are you taking along and what builds do they have. If you don't have good builds for your heroes then you're better off just taking henchies.

Are you a full level 20 with both attribute quests done? There are 2 quests in each campaign that award 15 extra points. You should have 200 attribute points to distribute.

If you need build advice go to www.pvxwiki.com. You'll find lots of decent builds there for you and your heroes.

To get into Guild Wars EOTN you must complete one of the fallowing quests:

    1. Hole of Istan from Bendah in Kamadan

    2. What Lies Beneath from Len Caldoron in Lions Arch

    3. I Feel the Earth Move Under Cantha's Feet from Minister of Maintenance Raiugyon in Kaineng CenterI got guild wars eye of the north but i dont know how to acess it can some1 tell me how?
You cross over into Eye of the North the same way you cross to any other campaign. You need to go to a port city (LA, Kaineng, Kamadan) and you'll be able to pick up a quest there to move you to eotn.

I know I own GW:EN but I can't for the life of me remember how to access it. I just recently started playing again after 38 months. I know I can access Cantha from Lions Arch, so I thought it'd be the same. But when I checked there was only Cantha. Can someone help me please? How do I access Guild Wars Eye of the North?
If your character has already been to Eye of the North territorities then you can just map travel there on the Prophecies map.

If you haven't been there yet then there is a crossover quest available in LA or Kaineng Center that you can complete to get there. I think it starts with Len Caledron. You must be at least level 10 to get there.

If you haven't played for 38 months then you've never been to EotN. It didn't exist that long ago.How do I access Guild Wars Eye of the North?
Somewhere outside of Lion's Arch there should be a Chasm. You have to enter the Chasm to get to Boreal Station.

Is Eye Of North the newest Guild Wars, and do it got all the new classes that was in factions?

Eye of the North is an expansion, not a stand alone game. You need one of the other games and a pre-existing character of at least level 10 to play there. There are no new character classes in Eye of the North, nor does purchase of the game get you any additional character slots.

Assuming you already own the game, your characters can transfer to the Eye of the North content from any port city (Lion's Arch, Kaineng, Kamadan). The only condition is that your character must be at least level 10. If your level is high enough, you'll get a pop-up box when you enter one of these cities that shows you the quest you must take and complete to move to Eye of the North. How do i get to eye of the north on guild wars?
You can buy the code online from the NCSfot store or the Guild Wars online store. You can also buy the expansion in your store and upgrade your account to play the Eye of the North.

Check the guild wars site and maybe some forums. I hear they're coming out with new skills and mini games. You can't bring you character from the original games to GW2 but the GWEN expansion pack features can be used in GW2. Hope this helps.

EotN is an expansion, not a campaign. You can't create characters there, just access the area with your existing characters. Any character that's Level 10 or higher can access the Eye of the North content. Just take your character to any port city (LA, Kaineng, Kamadan) and a new quest will be available to transfer to EotN.

  • Guild wars nightfall, factions, or eye of the north?

i have guild wars prophecies and im gonna buy one of the above games i just cant decide because i dont know much about them. what is the land like (I dont like playing in dark environments, im not scared i just dont think its cool) and do you have to have nightfall or factions to have eye of the north?Guild wars nightfall, factions, or eye of the north?
I'd recommend buying either the Trilogy pack or Factions Platinum edition. You get more than one game for your money and it's the best deal. If you really enjoy GW then you'll want all 4 games eventually so that your characters will have access to all the skills.

About the darkness thing.....what do you mean when you say you don't like dark environments? You dislike the dimness because it's hard to see your surroundings or you don't like evil demon infested storylines?

If it's just dimness issues then you can fix that. Go into the prefences menu (F11) and adjust the gamma slider bar on the graphics tab. I turn up my gamma all the time when I'm in the forest. Urgoz Warren and Blacktide Den are especially hard to see and the gamma will solve that.Guild wars nightfall, factions, or eye of the north?
nightfall is relatively dark so i'd stay away from that, factions ends up being somewhat dark and so does eye of the north

from a pvp perspective you'd be best off getting all three, but if you only want one for both pve and pvp content by far my favorite is eye of the north then, nice and snowy and a bit different from prophecies/nightfall/factions in terms of how they handled the story and the quests, very cool.

Do you need any of the old guild of wars to download guild of wars eye of the north?

To get your 'Factions' character into the G.W.E.N. section of the game, you start in Kaineng Center. Get the quest "I Feel The Earth Move...." from Minister of Maintenance Raiugyon. That will take you a little ways out in Bukdek Byway where you will enter a chasm. Make it through there and voila, you are in the G.W.E.N. area.

i just recently finished guild wars nightfall, i want to get eotn but i dont really understand what it is....do u play with existing characters from other campaigns? if so, how?Guild wars eye of the north, what is it?
Eye of the north is the expansion pack. You go to tyria, the land in guild wars prophecies, but a lot of land is cut off because you need prophecies to go there. Places like Kryta and ascalon. Anyway you can play any of your characters from all three campaigns in eye of the north. But as i said before, if you play nightfall or factions without prophecies, the land is limited. So i would recommend you get prophecies aswell if you have enough money.Guild wars eye of the north, what is it?

In Guild Wars: Eye of the North do you have to pay after the game like WoW? and does it take a key number?

does it take a key number to put in the box like in Age of Mythology when u put the disk in it takes a key number on the back does GW have a key number there too?In Guild Wars: Eye of the North do you have to pay after the game like WoW? and does it take a key number?
Eye of the North is an expansion package. You need to already own one of the existing GW campaigns and then you add Eye of the North onto it.

Yes, there is a key to input. The box should contain a sealed envelope with the key inside it. Just go to the "edit account" section on the login screen and enter the key to add it to your account. In Guild Wars: Eye of the North do you have to pay after the game like WoW? and does it take a key number?
Guild Wars Is always free after you buy the game. There are no monthly payments. And Yes every Expansion has to have a CD key input. You know as proof you purchased the game.

But usually after you register the game all you need is a Email and passwordIn Guild Wars: Eye of the North do you have to pay after the game like WoW? and does it take a key number?
Yes but there is no montly fee for GW.

What version of the game guild wars is the most fun? Original, Nightfall, Factions, Eye of the north-expansion?

There are 3 Guild Wars games and one expansion pack. Each of the games is completely stand-alone, but they link up and provide bonuses if you have more than one.

Guild Wars: Prophecies (or just Guild wars) - This is the first game of the series. It has a european/traditional fantasy theme. It also has the longest story-line of any of the games and as a consequence the slowest leveling. Unlike the other games, however, you can quest for many of your skills instead of having to buy them. This is the best Guild Wars to start with if you are new to MMORPGS or not very skilled with them.

Guild Wars: Factions - Has an Asian fantasy theme. Very pretty graphics. This game focuses a lot on player-versus -player combat. This is the shortest of the three main story lines.

Guild Wars: Nightfall - Has a Middle Easter fantasy theme. The middle of the three as far as story length goes, but might be the fastest to get you to the level cap. Weapons are more customizable in this game than any of the others. Also has Heroes, which are superiorcomputer-controled henchmen you can use when you want to play alone or can't find enough people to fill a party.

Guild Wars: Eyes of the North - An expansion pack, you must own another Guild Wars to access its content. Links all three main games together, a prelude to the upcoming Guild Wars 2. Titles earned from this game do more than any other game. It also provides heroes, even to people who don't have Nightfall.

Buy the game you like the best. OR you can buy collections of the games. Recently they have released a trilogy pack that has all three campaigns. What version of the game guild wars is the most fun? Original, Nightfall, Factions, Eye of the north-expansion?
My personal feeling is that all three are equally good, with differences in story and 'feel'. The original Guild Wars, "Prophecies" has a traditional European/Medieval feel similar to an old 'Dungeons and Dragons' sort of setting. I recommend this chapter as the one to do as a new player, as it has the best tutorial/learning section.

The 2nd chapter "Factions" has an Oriental/Chinese sort of feel, and the game backdrops are in many cases really outstanding. From a visual perspective, this may be the best of the three.

The 3rd chapter "Nightfall" adds the very important 'heroes', which are permanent customizable companions for your characters. However, this adds a high level of complication and additional gold expense that may not be suitable for new players.

The supplement, Eye of the North, requires that at least one other chapter be purchased first, and you need a character of at least level 10 to play in the setting. It is most suited for experienced Guild Wars players. What version of the game guild wars is the most fun? Original, Nightfall, Factions, Eye of the north-expansion?
There can be no real answer to this because the first three games are all interconnected and the final one is an expansion. If you are asking however, which ones provide the most synergy (min 2) then I would have to say original and factions. Factions give you AB battles and alliance access while original gives you a lot of basic skills you will need. Nightfall and EotN are both mainly skill adders.

Where are the best farming areas in guild wars factions, nightfall and eye of the north?

There are many farming areas. It all depends on what you want to farm and what profession you're using to farm. Do you want gold? Dye? A nice weapon? Holiday drops?

I'd recommend that you go to www.pvxwiki.com or www.guildwarsguru.com.

Pvxwiki has builds for all professions and for all occasions. You can get some good ideas there.

You have to do all the plot arches to progress in the game anyway, so the choice isn't terribly important. However the Asura branch is unquestionably the most difficult, so you might want to leave that one until last so that you have Norn/Ebon Vanguard skills and heroes to help you out.

GWEN is about a hero trying to unite forces in Northern Tyria that have problems themselves. Each one is joined to destroy one main force you will find out in the game. Eye of the North comes with many new skills that do VERY well in syenergy with other campaign skills. GWEN could get you back in the game because if you have played Prophecies, you will know the whereabouts of Gwen, the annoying little girl near the Pre-Searing Ascalon. You may explore dungeons and increase your reputation with other tracks such as the Asura, an intellectual group introducing the playable Asuras in GW2, the Dwarfs (Deldrimor), previously encountered in the Nothern Shiverpeaks of Tyria, or the Ebon Vanguard, a charr fighting group. Make sure if to recieve a book from any NPC that gives them and to fill them out up to halfway (more pages filled which is by finsihed quests, the more reputation points and gold you get. There is the town the Eye of the North. With this, you can transfer all things from GW to GW2 from your Hall of Monuments, where you can hang up special armor sets, mini pets, pets, special weaponry, and certain other things. If you are at at least rank (2) of the Max Title track - 10 max titles - then you can cap a Rainbow Phoenix - Lvl 5, as long as you have the title, have no pet, am a ranger and no heroes or henchmen. The Rainbow Phoenix is the most wanted Asian Phoenix in folklore as in Factions, only the egyptian phoenix had shown. Certainly, you will enjoy the game and you can even unlock elite skills that can turn you into a bear with it's respective skills as well as a wolf, and a raven. Out of all 3 campaigns, I though the expansion, EoTN, was the most experience with LVL 20 quests that will take your mastery of the game to the next level.

Prophecies, nightfall, and factions are stand alone games. You can play them by themselves or together. Eye of the north is the first real expansion. You must have another one of the games to play it. If you would have payed attention before you bought it you would have noticed it said expansion and requires another one of the games to play. Hope you can get it to work! Amanda is correct. Eye of the North is just an expansion. It would be like going to the store and buying a Playstation game then coming home and complaining that it doesn't work because you don't own a Playstation.

But the good news is that Best Buy has the original Guild Wars game on sale this Friday for $9.99. Now's the best time to grab it.

There are 3 campaigns and one expansion.

Nightfall, Factions and Prophecies are stand alone. You don't need any of the others to play. However, it is sometimes restrictive in guild activities if you don't have every campaign.

Eye of the North is an Expansion Pack. This one requires at least one of the other three :)

Guild wars Eye of the north Pre-Order question?

On the guild wars store u get to buy the pre order pack for eye of the north expansion for 4.99$. You also get a sneak peek and 3 cool weapons. If u buy the pre order do u have to buy the real game for 39.99$?Guild wars Eye of the north Pre-Order question?
Buying the pre-order is like putting down a deposit on the $40 game. It's basically an intention to buy. If you plan to buy Eye of the North from the online store then go ahead and buy the pre-order. The $4.99 will be deducted from the $39.99 price later when you buy the full version.

Should I buy Guild Wars-Trilogy or just Guild Wars(1st) and the newest expansion pack, Eye of the North?

Never played and didn't know if I should buy Trilogy or just the first, Guild Wars and latest expansion pack(Eye of the north)?Should I buy Guild Wars-Trilogy or just Guild Wars(1st) and the newest expansion pack, Eye of the North?
I would start with the Trilogy because if you have all three games, then you can move from one game to the other with the same character. You also get more character slots. Eye of the North can only be played by level 20 characters, so you wouldn't be able to play it when you first got it, anyway, and you can always pick it up later.Should I buy Guild Wars-Trilogy or just Guild Wars(1st) and the newest expansion pack, Eye of the North?
Just get Guild Wars Trilogy. Eye of the North ain't that good, just some new armor. It'd be better to get the 3 original Guild Wars games instead.

Do I need the first Guild Wars to play Guild Wars: Eye of The North?

just wondering, I pre-ordered eye of the north and i was wondering if i needed to get the first one.Do I need the first Guild Wars to play Guild Wars: Eye of The North?
Actually, you need any one of the first three:

    - "Guild Wars" (Prophecies), OR

    - "Guild Wars: Factions", OR

    - "Guild Wars: Nightfall"

If you haven't bought any, I would get Nightfall. It's probably the best of the three, and it's where most of the players in the game spend their time these days.Do I need the first Guild Wars to play Guild Wars: Eye of The North?
if it is the expansion, you will need the first one for sure.Do I need the first Guild Wars to play Guild Wars: Eye of The North?

I mean...im asking because im not sure if i should stick with playing WoW or start playing guild wars again...so ya anyone who has guild wars eye of the north..plz help meAre there new hair colors and stuff for the Guild Wars Eye Of The North?
Quote by me from a previously answered question:

"GWEN is about a hero trying to unite forces in Northern Tyria that have problems themselves.

Yes...I actually typed this from my mind...I'm bored -.-...."

I hope this helpsAre there new hair colors and stuff for the Guild Wars Eye Of The North?
1st of all eye of the north is just an expansion to prophicies. u dont make characters that r in eye of the north. u just take chars from prophicies, factions, and nightfall into it. so the only thing new to it is quests, missions, bosses, and weopens. there also is dungeons too. its really fun too.Are there new hair colors and stuff for the Guild Wars Eye Of The North?
No new hair colors. That's only in character creation. Eyes only has content for level 20 characters, but it gives you heroes, new armor, new titles (some of which actually have a game effect), and new weapons.

Honestly, the new content is relatively minimal, and in some cases only avaiable to obsessive. so you could just skip it if you don't plan on transitioning any of your high level stuff to Guild Wars 2 in a year or two.

We need more info from you. Where did you buy the game? You said you downloaded it? Did you buy it from the online store or did you just download the game content? You need to purchase an Eye of the North key. If you did this thru the online store on your account then you don't need to type in the access key. It will be automatically added to your GW account.

  • Level 20+ to play Guild Wars Eye of the North?

I was wondering if you have to be level 20+ to play Eye of the North in Guild wars? Because i bought the expansion pack and i dont know how to play eye of the north so i need help!Level 20+ to play Guild Wars Eye of the North?
I believe the minimum level that can gain access to the quest to get you to Eye of the North would be Level 10.

However, Eye of the North is a bit of a challenge at such a low level, therefore, I would recommend that you wait until after Level 20 to venture into the North.

As for getting across to that area, you will need to activate one of the following quests:

    - What Lies Beneath (obtained from Len Caldoron in Lion's Arch)

    - I Feel the Earth Move Under Cantha's Feet (Minister of Maintenance Raiugyon in Kaineng Center)

    - Hole of Istan (Bendah in Kamadan)

Each campaign has it's own version of the quest to take you across to Eye of the North.Level 20+ to play Guild Wars Eye of the North?
You have to be at least lvl 10 to access eye of the north. The game gives your character a boost in health and armor to make up the difference so it's as if you're playing as a lvl 20 character. Eye of the north can get challenging at times, so you may want to get used your specific character before venturing over there. You do get some lvl 20 heros as soon as you get to eye of the north, so that can help you with whatever campaign you're currently on.Level 20+ to play Guild Wars Eye of the North?

Eye of the North for factions?

I currently have factions, will buying eye of the north add prophecies and nightfall professions (dervish and paragon) to my selection of professions? Also, will there be nightfall and prophecies skills available to me if i purchase eye of the north? Not asking about quests, just asking about skills and classes that come with eye of the north.

Thanks.Eye of the North for factions?
eye of the north is considered an expansion its not a campaign it does nothing but unlock new area and a few new skills and some quests it will not add character slots of professions

Its an expansion not a new game. Go to Lions Arch and find a guy named Len Cauldron. Hes at the bottom of the stairs by the guild register. He gives you a quest called what lies beneath. You have to be level 20 to get it. Take it then do the quest. Its very very easy. All you have to do is go outside LA and explore the crevasse. I would bring running skills for the end of the quest but you could do it easily without it. Hope ive helped. Also you can contact me on my character Valerie Inferno. All my characters will come up on there. Just add me to your friends. I can help you with anything including gwen anytime im on. Just whisper me. Good luck with it too :)I bought Guild Wars Platinum Edition, but i dont know how to play eye of the north!?

You have to get to a place called Lion's Arch and be at least level 10. Once you get there (it's about halfway through the story-line/missions) you'll be able to get a quest from a man named Len Caldoron (or something similar) that will take you to Eye of the North. If you need help in-game you can contact me by putting Megan Oryan on your friends list. Any of my characters will show up under that name and I can help anytime I'm on.

  • Guild wars Eye of the North Hall of monuments question?

what kind of achievements is it that u need to complete to unlock guild wars 2 rewards in hall of monuments? or do u complete mainline quests?Guild wars Eye of the North Hall of monuments question?
The points you can get in Guild Wars 1 for unlocking special rewards in Guild Wars 2 are divided into 5 categories.
    * First, you can get points for titles (various achievements, among which are things like completing the main story lines, completing all the missions in hard mode, or obtaining the maximum rank in a wide variety of achievements).
    * Second, you can get points for dedicating in-game minipets to your HoM (an in-game reward that you get for free on your character's birthday, or can buy from others). Note that you can only dedicate a minipet to your HoM if it has not already been dedicated by someone else.
    * Third, you can obtain special armor for your in-game companions (heroes) and dedicate them in your HoM. This will also give you points.
    * You can obtain special (elite) max armor sets for your character. Each complete set gives you a statue in the HoM (for points).
    * And finally, you can obtain a couple of rare weapons and put them in your HoM (also for points). Again, you can only dedicate these weapons to your HoM if they have not already been dedicated by someone else.

Often you need 5 or 10 of a certain item to get a point, but sometimes 1 (hard to get) item will give you multiple points. A total of 30 points is enough to unlock all the GW2 item rewards. More points (upto 50) will also give you special GW2 titles.

If you're interested in more details (or a better explanation), I highly recommend reading the comprehensive article at tentonhammer (see link), or the one at massively. Also, playing around with the hom.guildwars2.com website itself can be pretty useful (just leave the text 'Enter Character Name' in the field and click on the %26gt;%26gt; arrow). Then click on (for example) 'View Titles' at the bottom, to get a list of how much you need to do and how many points you get for it.

Eye of the North is the only title in the series that is a true expansion. It is meant for level 20 characters, and therefore REQUIRES one of the other three games to be installed first. You'll need to buy either the original, Factions, or Nightfall to create your account, and then add your Eye of the North key to the account.I bought Guild Wars: Eye of the North today. Are Stand-Alone pieces on Guild Wars only for Eye Of The North?

I see people all the time wearing glasses and fire arms and I looked up how to get them and the website I found first said the "Stand-Alone Armor" Is only on Eye Of The North but why do I see it on Nightfall and Prophecies when you can only equip items with the character you got the item with on Eye Of The North.

Q: IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET STAND-ALONE ITEMS ON NIGHTFALL OR PROPHECIES?Are Stand-Alone pieces on Guild Wars only for Eye Of The North?
LOL, not sure that first guy even read the question.

Stand alone armor is unique to Eye of the North, but you can feel free to mix and match any armor pieces. For example, my elementalist has Flameforged top and gloves with Krytan pants and boots. It mixes well together in my opinion.

If you're looking for the eyeglasses and unique masks then those are just in EotN.

I'd recommend just browsing the various armors available for your profession in wiki and then choose the set (or pieces) that you like the look of the best. Are Stand-Alone pieces on Guild Wars only for Eye Of The North?
Eye to the North cannot be played with a new character; they have to be created in one of the other areas.

If a player has all four parts of Guild Wars, they can take any character to all the continents. That's how such items would be there where you can see them.

The other two answers are each partially correct.

You cannot start a character just in EOTN. You must start in one of the stand alone games first.

You must have a proper name.

However, you can go to EOTN at level 10, you do not have to wait until you are level 20. The easiest place to do this is from Nightfall since the portal is just outside of Kamadan. In Factions you must go to the mainland first and in Prophecies you have to go to Lions Arch first.

You cannot create a new character just for Eye of the North. This is an expansion designed for level 20 characters only. If you want a new character, you would have to create it for one of the other games (Prophecies, Factions, or Nightfall) and then play it until it is level 20.

Are there any differences between guild wars, guild wars factions, guild wars nightfall and eye of the north?

For example if i got factions would i be able to get professions from nightfall? would i get anything from the other versions if i bought 1 version? Are there any differences between guild wars, guild wars factions, guild wars nightfall and eye of the north?
With the exception of Eye of the North, all of the Guild Wars games are standalone games, and almost entirely different.

Core Gameplay mechanics (i.e. battle system, PvP, skill and leveling system) are almost identical between each edition, but the overworld, characters, quests, and overarching storyline are different for each game.

There is a set of core professions that are also more or less identical in each edition. However, each edition has it's own set of skills (and elite skills), as well as it's own unique types of armor and weapons for each profession. Also Factions and Nightfall each add two exclusive professions. Factions introduces the Assassin and Ritualist, while Nightfall gives you the Dervish and Paragon.

Unlike the other three games, Eye of the North is an expansion, and cannot be played by itself. It takes place in a far northern region, and continues the Guild Wars Prophecies storyline (though I believe it also incorporates some elements from the other two games). It is supposedly a bridge of sorts between the current games and the upcoming Guild Wars 2.

The bottom line is, you can get any of the four games EXCEPT Eye of the North by itself and start playing immediately. Each game has a few unique features, but you won't come across much unfamiliar gameplay switching between versions. Any other games you buy will act as expansions for the first one you bought. At a certain point in the main campaign of each game, you can also opt to transfer a character to another game (I'm currently playing through Factions with my Dervish from Nightfall). It may also be worth noting that each game has a sort of theme to it. Factions takes heavy cultural and conceptual ideas from Asian and Oriental countries. Nightfall is designed after African culture and designs. And Prophecies is based more on old European designs.

Hope this answers your question. Are there any differences between guild wars, guild wars factions, guild wars nightfall and eye of the north?
Guild Wars is unique in that the "Expansions" don't need the base game to play them. So you can just go buy Factions and play that. Here's what you get from the other games:

    Guild Wars (Base game):

6 core classes: Necromancer, Elementalist, Monk, Warrior, Ranger, Mesmer

    Tyria continent

    Guild Wars Factions:

    6 Core classes

2 Factions classes (Assassin and Ritualist)

    Cantha continent

    Guild Wars Nightfall:

    6 Core Classes

2 Nightfall classes (Dervish and Paragon)

    Elona content

Guild Wars Eye of the North:

This one is a bit different as it is actually an expansion, meaning you will need at least one of the other games to play it. Its mostly centered around max level content, and additional dungeons.

So long story short, yes you will get additional character classes and more zones %26amp; quests from buying more than one game. With the exception of Eye of the North, you don't -have- to buy more than one game though.

Yes, you can add EotN to just Nightfall. Any of the 3 campaigns works.

What comes with Guild Wars Eye of the North?

I was wondering what comes with the box because I am debating buying it through the guild wars store or gamestop. So what comes with the one in the store? What comes with Guild Wars Eye of the North?
The in-game store isn't the best place to buy Eye of the North. Firstly, the prices are inflated somewhat making it cheaper to buy it from your local retail store, and secondly, all you get from the in-game store is the access key for Eye of the North which is directly added to your game account. If you buy the boxed version, you will get a game disc (which you won't need at all), a game activation card with your access key on it, a map of Tyria showing you the areas you'll be travelling through, dungon locations and poinst of interest, and a manual telling you about some of the new features.

No, it's just the backround. Mine does it too.

You dont have to actually purchase the game cd to be able to play it. You can just purchase the code for it from the website even. Like right now GuildWars is offering the free Eye of the North trial, and you wont have to use a cd to play the trial--it'll just download it to your computer.Able to play guild wars eye of the north with guild wars prophecies cd?
that screen changes all the time and they put demo's out for people to try that might be why it was there
No, this does it automatically even if you haven't purchased Guild Wars Eye of the North because Guild Wars Eye of the North takes place in Tyria.

Currently Guild Wars Eye of the North is having a bonus trial, which is helpful if you are debating whether or not to get it. GWEN is actually a continuation of Guild Wars, so it is only natural they share a map. So don't worry bout' it and only worry about the bottom half of the map which is the Guild Wars section.

Sure, it's possible but it will be a long run from EotN. Most folks run themselves to Umbral Grotto first and then ask for a run to Rata Sum, however if you're willing to pay a bit more you should be able to find a decent runner from Eye.

You could also try asking some folks in your guild. There may be a bunch of folks in your Alliance that have characters that want to get to Rata. Make an event of it and all of you run together. You could have fun and save some money at the same time.

Should i get Guild Wars Nightfall or Eye of the North?

I cant figure out which one to get.Im do more pve then pvp.How are they diffrent and similar?I already got the first Guild Wars.Should i get Guild Wars Nightfall or Eye of the North?
I would get Nightfall first, GWEN didn't exactly gain the respect of most good players. I got NF and it is great, the campaign and the story line is amazing! Also, NF recieves more benefits, such as Paragon and Dervish Class. And the ability to get Heros (customizable henchies)Should i get Guild Wars Nightfall or Eye of the North?
iv heard Guild Wars Nightfall is better

Buying Guild Wars Eye of the North in Vietnam?

I've tried the in-game store lots of times and it always gives me code=171508 (Fraud Suspicion). I've tried with different credit cards and i always got the same error. What is the best way to buy the game in my situation?Buying Guild Wars Eye of the North in Vietnam?
If possible, probably your best alternative is to buy a pre-paid credit card someplace and use that in the online store.

If that isn't an option, perhaps you could buy the game elsewhere. Check out Amazon and some other major online stores and see if they ship to Vietnam.Buying Guild Wars Eye of the North in Vietnam?
Have you tried other online stores, that will send you the actual "hard copy" of the game?

Have you tried contacting them? I assume via email would be the most economical.

Have anyone you know travel internationally? Can they bring you a copy from elsewhere?

I know I am answering your question with questions...sorry, but other then a brick and mortar store having it in country, they are likely good options in my opinion.

Have Fun!!Buying Guild Wars Eye of the North in Vietnam?
Well, have you bought the other Guild Wars games? You need to have Prophecies, Factions, or Nightfall in order to play Eye of the North. I don't see why its not letting you buy it, but if you have game stores in Vietnam I suggest you check them and see if they have any copies of Guild Wars.

Can I use Guild Wars Eye of the North if I have GuildWars Factions?

The question pretty much says it all. I have GuildWars Prophecies and Factions but I don't have Nightfall or EotN. I was thinking of buying EotN but I was wondering if it is like an expansion to Nightfall or something like that. Can I buy it and use like heros for it in Factions and stuff? Can I use Guild Wars Eye of the North if I have GuildWars Factions?
Yes, as long as you have any of the 3 stand alone campaings yes. But you'd be at a great disadvantage - for people like Kahmu you wont be able to use many of the dervish skills without the nf campaign :( You can use the heroe's you get and take them back to factions with you but make sure to unlock them in PVE mode and not PVP (a VERY common mistake!)
Yeh you can, but Nightfall isn't really an expansion but a whole different story to Prophecies. EotN is will be great in Factions becaus you get heroes lvl 20 and you don't need to train them. EotN is an expansion for all the campaigns but it is the same storyline thorughout all the CampaignsCan I use Guild Wars Eye of the North if I have GuildWars Factions?
you can use eye of the north as long as you have any standalone campaign.
yeah and good thing about EoTN is tha all the heros are lvl 20 as soon as you get them, which is not case in NF:)Can I use Guild Wars Eye of the North if I have GuildWars Factions?

Which Guild Wars is best Eye of the North or Factions?

I want to get the platinum edition where it comes with Guild Wars and either Factions or EotN. I heard that EotN is an expansion and you need to beat like all of Nightfall in order the play EotN. But idk if that is real. Can someone give me an answer plus give a good reason why it's the best. Thank you.Which Guild Wars is best Eye of the North or Factions?
The Platinum Edition includes the original Guild Wars game, "Prophecies". This is the best of the three GW main games (or chapters) for someone to learn the game with, in my opinion. If you must choose between Factions and Eye-of-the-North, it would depend on what might interest you most in the game. If you get really into it like I did, you will eventually want both of those anyway!

Eye-of-the-North is an expansion set and you need one of the main games to go with it. You also need to have a character in any one of those games who has reached at least level 10 (level 20 is better) and who has reached the appropriate geographical point in the game in order to travel to the Eye. In Prophecies that means getting as far as "Lion's Arch".

You do not need to beat any of the games before going to the Eye.

Factions is another 'stand alone' chapter of the game. It has an Oriental theme and introduces two new character classes, the Assassin and the Ritualist. Both of these classes are very interesting, but a little harder to play successfully than most of the 'core' classes, the 6 that come with the original Guild Wars: Prophecies.

Your choice boils down to whether you'd be more interested in a high-level expansion area to continue to from Prophecies, or whether you are more interested in a second chapter with a new story-line and new character classes.

Personally, I'd go with Factions. Later on you can pick up Eye of the North. You'll like the game, I'm pretty sure, and then you'll want to expand it. You will also probably want to purchase and play Nightfall eventually!!!Which Guild Wars is best Eye of the North or Factions?
I would get the Platinum Edition, because it comes with Guild Wars: Prophecies and Eye of the North. Faction is a the worst out of all the Guild Wars game and it is bad for beginners to start with, but it is still a fun game. If you are a Beginner, you should start playing GW with Prophecies, it is the best for beginners and it has to best storyline.

In order for you to get to Eye of the north, you need to own One of the Guild Wars Campaigns (Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall). And then by the time you're half way finished with one of the campaigns, there is gonna be a person who will offer you a quest to Eye of the North.

Hope i Helped. :)Which Guild Wars is best Eye of the North or Factions?
i would have to agree that profices is the best it is the most indepth of all the games i myself since i use faction skills in PvE would have to say it is pretty good alot of nice skills and stuff the only bad thing is the keep u in this huge city most of the game and when you finley get out you are so happy to get out they then put you back in for a few missions and then end of the game factions is a good PvP thing becouse of the faction aspect of it i did not like eye of the north that well but its ok the one thing that annoys me with eye of the north is the elite skills you can cap can be found in the other champaigns and unless the skill does not follow a title track they really dont have any new skills
If asked whether to get Prophecies + EotN bundled or Factions + EotN bundled, I'd go with the former.

    Reason being:

    1) Prophecies is the best one for a new player to Guild Wars due to a shallow learning curve and

    2) EotN follows the Prophecies storyline closest

You need to finish Prophecies, Factions or Nightfall in order to play EotN (not all of them, just one).

When does ebgames get the Guild wars eye of the north prerelease disks?

I read online the the GW:EN prerelease bonus disk hits stores July 8. I reserved my game at ebgames, but they said they don't have the disks yet and it's already August 3rd. When are they going to have them? When does ebgames get the Guild wars eye of the north prerelease disks?
Guild Wars: Eye of the North officially is being released August 31st. It seems that they have been pushing back the date many times, but it does look like this will be the official release now. On EB Games website (Listed in the "Sources" box), it states that the "Pre-Release" ships 8/31/07. However, you will also get the bonus offer along with that. It states with the bonus that you get "Guild Wars Early entry into specific game area - August 24-26". They will e-mail you instructions on how to access that once you make the purchase. Arena Net also offers the Pre Release account access directly through their NC Soft Web Store which is accessed when you login to Guild Wars. Note that you do not obtain actually CD's purchasing directly through the NC Soft store. I hope that helps you! When does ebgames get the Guild wars eye of the north prerelease disks?
The pre-release was actually released on July 20th. I've been checking my local EB Games/Gamestop for keys since then and they still don't have them.

I finally gave up on them and bought the pre-order from Best Buy who had them on the shelves last week. When does ebgames get the Guild wars eye of the north prerelease disks?
